The solution you use is more than adequate. But if you have the money you could buy a firewire dual VHS/MiniDV deck.

Personnelly I'd rather buy a ?150 DVD player. and a ?200 DVD writer. (which is what I've done)

    Hi,

If you've only got a DV connection on your computer then you will need either a dedicated capture card with analogue outputs or a digital to analogue converter.

    Some examples are:

    Capture Cards
Pinnacle Studio Deluxe (DV & analogue) - ?320 approx.
    Pinnacle DV500 (DV & analogue) - ?450 approx.

    DV to analogue converters
    Canopus ADVC-100 - ?265 approx.
    Dazzle DV Bridge - ????

    Hope this helps.

After i've edited my movies (from min DV on a p.c) i would like to put them onto VHS cassttes. Normally i would output back to a blank DV then plug the DV Cam into the TV/VCR machine and simly press record. But this seems like a real round about way of toding things.
Is it possible to connect the VCR to record from the P.C with a normaly set-up (i.e no video cards)?
